Cherry Bakewell Spritz

We’re big fans of the Cherry Bakewell Spritz as not only is it effortlessly elegant to make, it is also an exceedingly good cocktail! It’s one of our most popular cocktails, quite simply because it’s true to its name, it tastes just like a Cherry Bakewell.

If you have dinner party plans and you’re looking to treat your pals, this lush cocktail is sure to impress them. We think this is great served as an aperitif and suggest greeting your friends with this tasty imbibe when they first arrive. Without a doubt, we’re sure it’ll go down a treat.

What makes this recipe different from conventionally complicated cocktails is that you’ll make not only a professional looking cocktail, but also a high quality tasting cocktail in under a minute. You’ll certainly look the pro serving this cocktail.

Prep
Firstly, all you’ll need are day to day kitchenware you’ll have in the kitchen: a short glass, a sharp knife and a bottle opener. Alongside this, you’ll need a chilled bottle of Pedrino Ruby & Tonic Spritz, a fresh lemon, a handful of ice (enough to fill the glass to the top), and last but not least, Amaretto.  

Right, so now we’re all prepared, let’s get making! 

Fill the short glass (or glasses) to the top with ice. Next add 25ml of Amaretto. We think 25ml gives the perfect balance of flavour, however, if you’re a big fan of Amaretto, by all means go for the double shot. Following this top the glass with Pedrino Ruby & Tonic Spritz, as it’s a short glass you’ll probably only need half a bottle.  

Garnish

For the garnish slice the lemon into to quarters*. Squeeze one quarter into the cocktail and then garnish with a fresh wedge.

*just to add, be sure to slice the lemon in the correct direction so you have the beautiful pattern of the lemon wedge showing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 bottle Pedrino Ruby & Tonic Spritz
  • 25 ml Amaretto
  • 1 wedge Lemon
  • 1 glass full Ice

Instructions
 

  • Fill the glass with ice
  • Add the Amaretto
  • Top with Pedrino Ruby & Tonic Spritz
  • Garnish with squeezed lemon wedge
